The Clean & Lean Matcha Latte

A sophisticated, zero-sugar take on the coffeehouse classic, powered by Keystone Pantry Allulose.

Why These Ingredients?

Every element of this latte is chosen to maximize energy and flavor while keeping you in ketosis or maintaining stable blood sugar.

  • Ceremonial Grade Matcha: Unlike “culinary” matcha, ceremonial grade uses the youngest tea leaves, providing a naturally sweeter, less bitter taste and a higher concentration of L-theanine for jitter-free focus.
  • Unsweetened Almond or Macadamia Milk: These provide a creamy base with negligible carbs. Macadamia milk, in particular, offers healthy monounsaturated fats that complement the earthy tea.
  • Keystone Pantry Allulose: The “secret sauce.” Allulose is a rare sugar that tastes like the real deal but has a glycemic index of zero. It dissolves perfectly in whisked matcha without the cooling aftertaste of erythritol.
  • Hot Water (80°C / 175°F): Using boiling water burns the delicate green tea leaves, making them bitter. Keeping the temp lower preserves the antioxidants.

A vibrant, creamy, and sugar-free Matcha Latte using Keystone Pantry Allulose for a perfectly balanced sweetness.

  2. Add the Keystone Pantry Allulose to the powder.
  3. Pour in the hot water (around 175°F) and whisk vigorously in a “W” motion using a bamboo whisk or a handheld frother until a thick froth forms.
  4. Heat your milk of choice in a small saucepan or steam it until hot but not boiling.
  5. Pour the frothed milk over the matcha base. Stir gently and enjoy.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Can I drink this while intermittent fasting?
Strictly speaking, any calories break a fast. However, at only 45 calories, most people find it doesn’t significantly spike insulin, especially thanks to the Allulose.
Why Keystone Pantry Allulose specifically?
It is non-GMO and has a very clean finish. In delicate drinks like Matcha, cheaper sweeteners can leave a chemical “zing” that ruins the tea’s profile.
Does this have caffeine?
Yes, it has about 60-70mg of caffeine, roughly half that of a standard cup of coffee, but balanced by L-theanine for a calmer energy boost.
