FAQ for Keto Churros

Q1: Are keto churros really low in carbs?
A1: Yes! Each churro contains approximately 0.9g net carbs, making them perfect for a ketogenic diet. Using almond flour, coconut flour, and Keystone Pantry Allulose keeps sugar and carbs minimal.

Q2: Can I bake these churros instead of frying?
A2: Absolutely! You can pipe the churro dough onto a baking sheet and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 15-20 minutes until golden brown, but frying gives them the traditional crispy exterior.

Q3: What oils are best for frying keto churros?
A3: Avocado oil or coconut oil are ideal for frying due to their high smoke points and keto-friendly fats.

Q4: Can I make these churros dairy-free?
A4: Yes! Replace butter with coconut oil and use a dairy-free cream for the dipping sauces to make them fully dairy-free.

Q5: How should I store leftover churros?
A5: Keto churros are best enjoyed fresh, but you can store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 1-2 days. Reheat in an oven or air fryer for crispiness.

Q6: Can I make these churros without allulose?
A6: You can substitute allulose with another keto-friendly sweetener like erythritol or monk fruit sweetener, though texture and sweetness may slightly vary.

Q7: Are the dipping sauces optional?
A7: Yes! While the vanilla and chocolate dipping sauces enhance flavor, the churros are delicious on their own or rolled in cinnamon-allulose.
