Keto French Bread Recipe

Servings: 8 slices

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ cups almond flour
  • ¼ cup coconut flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp Keystone Pantry allulose
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tbsp cream cheese
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp psyllium husk powder (for a better texture)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven: Set to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Melt Cheese:

    • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt mozzarella and cream cheese together in 20-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth.
    • Let cool slightly before adding to the dry ingredients.
  3. Mix Dry Ingredients:

    • In a large bowl, whisk together almond flour, coconut flour, baking powder, salt, and psyllium husk powder.
  4. Combine Wet & Dry Ingredients:

    • Add the melted cheese mixture, eggs, melted butter, apple cider vinegar, and allulose to the dry ingredients.
    • Mix well until a dough forms (you may need to knead it by hand).
  5. Shape the Bread:

    • Wet your hands and shape the dough into a French bread loaf (about 10-12 inches long).
    • Place on the prepared baking sheet.
    • Score the top with a sharp knife to create a classic French bread look.
  6. Bake:

    • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and firm.
    • Let cool slightly before slicing.

  • Brush with garlic butter and toast for keto garlic bread.
